What Do Good Angels Do
Both good and evil angels perform certain tasks. Here, focus will be placed on some of the tasks good angels perform. However, it is important to know the context within which these assignments are done. The different responsibilities that good angels are charged with are listed below. What follows is an elucidation on the main reason they are occupied with doing these works.

Why do good angels carry out the previously listed tasks...
After the evil angels came to earth, Lucifer the devil, under the guise of a serpent tempted the first woman, Eve, and she fell to his temptation. God cammanded Eve's husband, "Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die." (Genesis 2:16,17). He must have told his wife this as when the serpent asked Eve, "hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?"(Genesis 3:1), her answer was "We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die." (Genesis 3:2,3). This serpent was the devil for the bible calls the devil "that old serpent" (Revelation 12:9). He then convinced Eve to eat the fruit saying, "Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil." (Genesis 3:4,5). After hearing these words, Eve "took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat."(Genesis 3:6). So, she not only ate the fruit but also convinced her husband, Adam, the first man, to eat it as well. Remember, God "that cannot lie" (Titus 1:2) told them that eating the fruit would lead to their ultimate death. So, their disobedience meant they were doomed to die. Furthermore, the commandment says, "Thou shalt have no other gods before me."(Exodus 20:3). And in listening to the serpent and not God, they made the serpent their god, breaking this commandment of God's law. In other words they sinned for "sin is the transgression of the law" (1 John 3:40). This sin assured their death as "the wages of sin is death" (Romans 6:23). So, their disobedience resulted in a world of evil and doomed the first couple and their descendants, the human race, to death. However, Jesus Christ gave up himself as a willing sacrifice to save mankind from the evil and death they incurred as a result of this transgression: "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23) again the bible says, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16). It is this, the salvation of man, that is now the most important thing to God, and He commands his angels to perform tasks to this end. It is for this reason Paul says “But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?” (Hebrews 1:13,14). In making these remarks, Paul established that good angels are spirits who assist individuals who could possibly be saved from sin and its results. Herein lies the main reason why good angels perform their God-given duties. They do them to the end of saving mankind from eternal death and the temporal evils they face as a result of sin.
